RMOTHG Trip – Burning Bear Trail
This 5 mile / 1000 ft elevation gain snowshoe starts & ends in Geneva Park off of Guanella Pass Rd - with stunning views of snow-capped peaks across an expansive meadow. Moose are not an infrequent sight here. The trail through dense forest will protect us from any high winds as we trek to the ruins of an old cabin for lunch (and our turn-around spot). Pace will be steady & brisk.

Leader Notes:
We will most likely need microspikes for the 1st part of this trail, switching to snowshoes higher up.
Pace: Steady & brisk 1.5–1.8 mph - with minimal stops.
Meeting Time: 7:30 am.

Required Equipment
