RMOTHG Trip – Mount Sniktau

Finally... a perfect sunny & mild day for a Winter peak climb of Mount Sniktau (13,216') on Thursday! 4 miles / 1700' elevation gain with steep 1st mile up to ridge. Slower than typical Bobcat pace - but still Steady with minimal breaks.

Despite the wonderful weather report you need to come prepared for any and all Winter weather - especially in the event of an unexpected illness or injury while above treeline (sprained ankle / twisted knee...).

Meeting Place:   Wooly Mammoth Park n Ride Section BB (across from Exxon Station). I70 exit 259. 18560 US Hwy 40, Golden CO.

Snowshoes not needed.  Microspikes required.  Poles recommended. 

Xtra Gear for Winter Peak Climbs:   Balaclava/Neck Gaiter, Bivy Sack, Chemical Hand/Foot Warmers, Ski Goggles.
