RMOTHG Trip – North Table Mountain

RMOTHG Trip Leaders ONLY - This hike is part of our annual Winter/Snowshoe Trip Leader meeting!!! It is a loop hike from Tony Grampas Memorial Sports Complex (2.2 miles from CMC Basecamp) including the Rimrock Trail with spectacular views of the Denver Metro Area. Two more Trip Leader ONLY hikes are also being offered on the 17th ... Jeanne Eiss will lead a hike on Mount Galbraith and Jeff Flax will lead an easier hike up Clear Creek (Welch Ditch Trail).

  • Easy
  • Mileage: 6.34 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 952 ft
  • High Point Elevation: 6,547 ft
  • Pace: 1.5-2.0

From CMC Basecamp we will drive 2.2 miles to the Tony Grampas Memorial Sports Complex at 4471 Salvia St. Golden.  The planned ascent of North Table Mountain is the most gentle of all the trails up the mountain with only 1/2 mile of 9% gradient, but it can become very muddy.  I will scout the trail the day before the meeting, and if the trail is muddy I will change the starting location to the West Trailhead.  Please bring trekking poles for the steep descents back to the trailheads.

If we don't have to move the starting location, The New Terrain Brewery is a short walk from Tony Grampas Sports Complex.

We will meet at the CMC Basecamp and leave for the trailhead when the Winter/Snowshoe Trip Leader meeting ends -- approximately 10:30 am.
