This is an optional trip for participants in the NoCo 2025 Alpine Scrambling Course. This trip is not a requirement for graduation of ASC. This trip will provide participants the opportunity to practice techniques for traveling safely on moderate snow slopes. Participants will practice self-arrest with an ice ax in each of the four basic positions and various techniques for ascending and descending with crampons and ice ax.

Participants will be provided with meeting details a few days in advance of the trip.
