Dillon Reservoir

This major reservoir right off I-70 is home to many activities all year round, both around and on the Reservoir. Near the Dillon Nature Preserve.

Dillon Reservoir Rec Path - The entire trail is approximately 20 miles around the lake. Leaders may choose from various entry and exit points to create a unique trip with possible elevation gains of over 1000'.  The trail passes through Frisco and Dillon and joins with many other recreational trails in Summit County to other destinations.  Most entry points  have free parking nearby, but certain areas near Dillon may require a fee - 16 miles, 493' gain.

The Town of Dillon Lake Loops provide for easy cross country skiing on the frozen surface of Lake Dillon, in with stunning views of the surrounding Gore Range, Access points and parking for the Lake Loops are available on Lodgepole Street, at the Dillon Marina, and near the Eagle Statue at the top of Tenderfoot Street and Highway 6. The trails are groomed daily and marked with colored signs to assist with navigation.  4 miles, 0 gain

Windy Point Trail -  This is one of many trails that interlock around the reservoir.  Do an out-and-back or explore other trails - 1.75 miles, 142' gain

Old Dillon Reservoir Trail - Another short trail that can be an out-and-back or explore other trails - 1.1 miles, 149' gain
