Dry Gulch Trailhead

This trailhead provides access to numerous destinations at the Continental Divide, including Mt. Trelease, Wichita Plane Crash Site, Mt Bethel, Mt Hagar, The Citadel, plus alternative access to Herman Lake and beyond.

Before creating a trip, click “Activities” below to make sure there isn’t already a trip booked to the exact same place using the same route on the same date.  

The Trailhead is accessed by exiting I-70 westbound at exit 216.  Take an immediate sharp right turn and double back on the frontage road to the gate. Park along the road.

The main trail heads toward the saddle between The Citadel and Mt Bethel.  Excellent wildflowers in summer.
