Mount Princeton

A challenging hike up to the summit of Mount Princeton in the Collegiate Peaks (Sawatch Range).

Mt Princeton (14,200') is one of the five Collegiate Peaks in the Sawatch Range. The standard route is up the East Slopes from Mt Princeton Trailhead near Nathrop, up the Mt Princeton Trail (USFS #1401). From there, the hike is relatively short and with relatively modest elevation gain compared to most 14ers. However, parking at the trailhead is limited, so be prepared for a much longer round-trip hike of 13.25 miles and 5,400 feet of elevation gain from a lower parking lot.  Read details and recent trip reports in 14'ers.com and AllTrails.
