San Carlos Trail

This is a moderate upside-down hike that is approximately 1.5 miles long with an elevation loss of 300 - 400 feet.

San Carlos Trail to the Natural Arch

It starts at the San Carlos Trailhead that is off of Old San Isabel Road, follows the road and then veers off onto a side trail that leads to the Little Saint Charles Creek and the natural arch.  The road goes up and down, the side trail has a slight decline until the last 1/2 mile, where it has a fairly steep descent to the creek. The natural arch is unique in that the Little Saint Charles Creek does not pass through it, but is turned sideways to the stream and is difficult to see if one doesn't know what to look for.
