6 miles, 100 ft elevation
From Reynolds Landing at the S. Platte River the walk goes south along the Mary Carter Greenway. The Mary Carter Greenway is a 2.5 mile paved trail which follows the course of the South Platte River through the park. There are some photos and artwork about the Platte River flood in 1965 when 21 people died and property losses were $543 million (more than 4 billion in current dollars). Further south there are several ponds/lakes with much wild live. Included is the Carson Nature Center.
