Spencer Gulch and West Turkshead
6 miles, 2,150' elevation gain in the San Juan Mountains.
The hike originates at the Little Molas Lake TH for the Colorado Trail, just north of the Molas Pass summit on US 550. Follow the Colorado Trail West for approximately 1 mile before following an off-trail route North to Spencer Gulch and then onto an easy climb of West Turkshead (12,836'). There are great views and we may see some late summer flowers.
