Ditch Creek Road

Ditch Creek Road gives access to a variety of trails with various levels of difficulty, distance and altitude gain. One can also visit the Mingus Ranch homestead site which provides historical signs and can be rented from the US Forest Service.

The Ditch Creek Road can be accessed by driving 8.9 miles south from McKenzie Junction at CO 165 and CO 96 or by driving 9.6 miles north from Lake Isabel.  From the Road one can access several levels of old logging roads, Round Top Peak, Left Hand Fork Trail and Silver Circle Trail.  One can hike, ski or snowshoe in the area, but the road can be difficult to navigate when there is snow on the ground.
