Waterfall Creek and Basin
Hike from the little mountain town of Ophir on a lightly used trail to a pristine basin with waterfalls and flowers.
Access the Basin via either Waterfall Creek Rd off Ophir Rd or the Waterfall Trail (#633), which starts near the intersection of Granite St and Granite Ave in Ophir.
Not all maps have the trail and TH. Cotrex does. Look for a bronze plaque on a rock on the right side of the road that commemorates the Ouray Indians.
Wander the basin on rough roads and off-trail. Great flowers in early summer.
