Cancellations are problematic and it is not guaranteed that a make up scramble will be available.

Trailhead: dirt parking lot at road 7 South of Estes Park across to Lily Lake. Outhouse should be available at Lily Lake parking lot.

Route: mostly following a steeper trail until timberline. Gear up at timberline and scramble to East ridge then follow the ridge to the smaller of Twin Sister peak with some exposure. After short scrambling descent we climb the higher Sister peak. Depending on the group, time and weather, I plan to down climb this peak and routefind/scramble the rarely visited South peak.

If time allows we do a short roped climb and roped lowering/descent. Return to timberline on a boulder field and following the trail down.

Besides required scrambling equipment (see below) bring: sturdy boots with good ankle support, approach shoes are not allowed. Also bring rain gear, extra insulating layer (it can be windy up there) and well-fitting gloves (rocks are very rough and sharp). Bring only retractable hiking poles.

Remember, this a full day trip, please do not schedule any evening commitment.
