Self Arrest Clinic – Berthoud Pass

This self‑arrest clinic gives CMC winter‑skills instructors dedicated time to practice advanced ice‑axe arrest techniques in a controlled environment. Participants will work through multiple fall scenarios to refine timing, body positioning, and terrain awareness. The session emphasizes consistent, safe teaching methods so instructors can model best practices for their students. By the end, attendees will feel more confident leading winter courses and coaching others through essential arrest skills.

Carpool Place & Time: Meet at Wooly Mammoth PnR (Section BB) 7:30AM for a 7:45AM departure (Wooly Mammoth Park-N-Ride - Google Maps)   

We'll then carpool to Berthoud Pass parking lot (Berthoud Pass Parking Lot - Google Maps)
