A fall hiking trip to enjoy the fall colors, September 25th to 27th based in Carbondale.

Details are tentative but there will likely be a hike near Glenwood Springs on the travel day of the 25th, a full day hike to American Lake and the ghost town of Ashcroft on the 26th, tentatively Thomas Lakes on the 27th. Choice is to drive home after or do a hike on the 28th. The hike to Thomas Lakes could also be extended to a longer hike to Sopris for the really energetic.

There is a KOA campground on the river which may be full but other campgrounds are in the area, including Redstone and Bogan Flats. There is a nice Comfort Inn in Carbondale along with other choices. More details will be coming but it would be prudent to RSVP and get lodging/ camping now. Trip leaders are Jennifer Rhamy and Doug Hemken.
