Fall peep immersion experience without cars. I did this same trip in 2021. We had it good. Hope the same for this trip. Early am Trailhead arrival, hike in, camp, explore, hike out the morning of day three. Home in time for dinner. This is a Backpacking Section Members Trip. If you are not a member of BPX, please do not sign-up without first joining the CMC Backpacking Section.

Car-pooling welcomed. Trailhead meet time 08:30.

If weather and conditions align, this trip is a wonderful fall visual, with benefits, as in a breakfast by the lake. The word is chill, and options aplenty in our time there. More to come...

10 essentials appropriate for the Colorado season.

Backpacking/camping gear, back-ups, what makes you happy and doesn't weigh you down. Go for <30lb with your pack. If not this trip, be thinking about it. Your body over the long haul will like it and keep hauling for you.

Clothing - layers from base to shells and in-between. FYI - temps can drop to freezing when the sun goes down. 

Food you already know. Test new stuff at home, not in camp.

Your meds in one place; share w/Trip Leader if you wish. It may save your life. (I'm current with WFR)

Electronics and battery back-up if you are constantly on.  Me, 25% with GPS, music and audio books. :) I do bring a charger.

I advocate "Carry, don't bury". If you do bury, do bury proper, and be sure to take out your TP.
