Hiking – Apex Trailhead - Apex Open Space Complete Loop Trail

We'll hike a complete loop of Apex Park, beginning from the East Trailhead and circling around the park counter-clockwise. This hike is for RMOTHG members.  If you are 50 or older but not a RMOTHG member, please email the trip leader about joining the trip as a guest.  Typically, I will approve guest participation on a space-available basis.

Pace is casual plus.  We won't be setting any speed records, but we will plan to move at a steady pace with minimal breaks.

Depending on trail conditions and the pace of the group, this hike may take up to six hours.  Our goal will be to complete the hike and return to the trailhead by 3pm at the latest.  Do, however, be prepared for the unexpected and plan for the possibility that this may be a longer outing.

Bring your 10 essentials, trekking poles, plus sufficient water, snacks, lunch, and appropriate layers for a variety of weather conditions.

Meet at the Apex Trailhead near Golden at 8:15am.  We will plan to begin hiking promptly at 8:30am.

Restrooms with running water and flush toilets are available at the trailhead.
