Hiking – Highline Trail - Lewis Creek Trail

Hike the Lewis Creek Trail out and back from the trailhead off Colorado 96, approximately 3 miles west of Wetmore to a grassy aspen meadow where we'll stop for lunch. There are several little waterfalls and some good views of peaks to the southeast.

This is a challenging hike with some steep sections and loose rock.  Leader permission is required -- if we have not hiked together please contact me by email or text (719-744-7840) and let me know what hikes you have completed in the last few months.

The meeting place will be the NE corner of the Pueblo City Park pool (221 S Parkside Ln, Pueblo, CO 81005) at 7:30am. From there we will carpool or caravan to the Lewis Creek Trailhead, approximately 3 miles west of Wetmore just off Hwy 96.  Alternatively, meet at the trailhead at 8am. The parking area is about 1/2 mile from Hwy 96 via a dirt road. A high clearance vehicle is suggested. If your plans change please let me know by text at 719 744 7840.

As always, the trip begins and ends at the trailhead.
