Mostly above treeline.  

Silverheels is a high 13er and harder than some 14ers.  Please do not sign up for this hike unless you are confident you can hike at the 2.3mph average pace with the large 3500ft elevation gain.  The hike is mostly above treeline so we will target finishing before 1pm.

Hiking poles are highly recommended for this hike.

We will meet at the Frisco Kayak Lot (2nd Frisco exit) at 7:30am to carpool to Hooiser pass to start the hike.   For those coming from the front range there will likely be a carpool from Mammoth lot leaving by ~6:10am.
