I have a permit for two nights at Mirror Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park. We'll meet in Fort Collins and drive to the Corral Creek trailhead, hike in approx. 6.5 miles/1600 ft gain, and make camp.
Day 2 the recommended activity is a hike to Comanche Peak (8 mi r.t./2000 ft gain), but we can decide this as a group. Other options include relaxing/fishing at the lake, or exploring further up the valley.
Day 3 we will hike back out.
I'll give preference to NoCo group members: you can email me before the "registration opens" date to get on the roster.
Please note that much of the hike in, is through the burn area from the Cameron Peak fire. The campsite itself is not in the burn area.
To be decided closer to the trip date. Expect a fairly early morning departure from Fort Collins, to leave us time for the drive and the hike in.
