This is an easy hike of 2 to 3 miles depending upon the choice of the side jaunt to lookout point, or not. New members, guests, and old friends are all welcome. Please register by Saturday, December 20, 5:00 pm, or text Sue Greer 214-552-9480 of your interest. If you have not hiked with us before, please reach out to Sue to discuss the trail and gear needs. This is a steady incline, mixed surface hike with lots of rocks in places. There is no water on this trail, so pack in at least a liter of water and what may be needed for your pup. The basic 10 essentials and whatever food, snack, or possible chair or sit pad you might like. There are picnic tables just below the Trailhead to sit and socialize afterwards. The hike begins and ends at the trailhead.
Meet at the Pueblo City Park pool parking lot at the corner of Pueblo 45 (S. Pueblo Blvd) and Goodnight Avenue parking on the southwest corner in the pool parking lot. Meet there at 9:30 a.m. for 9:45 am departure if desiring to carpool, or caravan, or meet us at the trailhead. Please let Sue Greer know the option you are choosing. The secondary meeting place is at the trailhead at 10:30 a.m., The trailhead is accessed off of Highway 78/S Pine Dr. (changes names) in Beulah Valley west of Pueblo. From Highway 78 (S Pine Dr.) turn right into the main entrance of Pueblo Mountain Park, follow the left curve of the road past the caretakers home, continue past the basketball court, shelter, and keep to the left until you come to the final T and you will see the Tower Trail Trailhead sign pointing right, but you will want to park at the picnic area to the immediate left or a little further down the road to the left as well.
