Hiking – Windy Saddle Park to Genesee Park via Beaver Brook Trail

This hike has us wandering along the Beaver Brook Trail with a turnaround on the Gudy Gaskill Trail, starting and ending at the Windy Saddle Trailhead. We'll get some amazing views of peaks to our North and West and we may be able to spot Clear Creek on our journey.

We'll carpool to the Windy Saddle Park Parking Lot (Windy Saddle Park - Google Maps)

Embark on an exhilarating out-and-back journey along the Beaver Brook and Gudy Gaskill Trails, immersing ourselves in the natural wonders of the rugged terrain. Beginning at the Windy Saddle trailhead, our path meanders alongside the tranquil flow of Beaver Brook, its gentle melody accompanying each step. As the trail ascends, the landscape transforms, revealing sweeping vistas of majestic peaks and lush valleys. Traverse through dense forests adorned with vibrant foliage, where the scent of pine fills the air, and the occasional rustle of wildlife adds to the sense of adventure. We'll use the Gudy Gaskill Trail as a lazy turnaround, while pausing to savor the breathtaking panorama before heading back along the Beaver Brook Trail. Each mile a testament to the beauty and resilience of the wilderness. We'll find a comfortable spot to stop for lunch/snack. Our pace will be comfortable for all participants.
