Ten Sleep is a small quaint town with a population of approximately 250 people.  Don't let the size fool you, it has a big personality with the help of Dirty Sally's General Store, Ten Sleep Brewing Company, and The Sleepy Coyote Cafe.

Accommodations: We will be camping at the Ten Sleep Rock Ranch, located 6 miles outside of town at the base of the canyon.  We have 3 campsites reserved that will accommodate 16 people and 8 vehicles. Although reservations only opened on March 1st, spaces are filling up quickly.  If you would like additional nights on either end of the trip, please see the link below to their web site.  There is also dispersed camping and other camping options near by.

Climbing: If you like Shelf Road, you will LOVE Ten Sleep.  Route grades range from 5.8 to 5.really hard.  There is a much higher concentration of 5.10 and harder, but easier grades can be found throughout the canyon.  In addition to Mountain Project, there are several new guidebooks out in 2023 by different authors.

Just a quick mention on climbing logistics. This is not a climbing 'trip" where we have a designated trip leader responsible for putting up ropes.  Please be prepared to lead if there is an objective you have your eye on, and contribute to putting up ropes so it is not left to just a couple of people.

Working: The Rock Ranch does not have cell service, but they do have Wifi.  For those who will need to work, there are tables located at the social area close to the Wifi.  There can easily be 20 people working each morning before heading out to climb.  If you need someplace quieter or need to take video meetings, there are several places in town that can accommodate.  The Wifi does not reach past the social area into the camping spots.

Cost: The cost of camping is $40 per person.  I will send payment options in a later email.

Misc:  June 19th is Juneteenth so hopefully some of you have the day off for travel :).  As always, once people have signed up, I will send out a coordination spreadsheet and start a Slack channel. Please don't hesitate to reach out with questions.
