Program Presenters:

Lynn Clay and Jeffrey Olmsted will share their camping and hiking adventure along the Carretera Austral in Patagonia Chile.  The Carretera Austral is a remote 770 mile road through the heart of southern Chile connecting many National Parks and diverse ecosystems. The landscapes are immense with snow capped volcanoes, glaciers, fords, rainforests, wild rivers, mountains, hiking trails and more.  The remoteness and sheer beauty surround you on each turn you make.

One week after returning from Ecuador, Tucker Post will share about his trip climbing three high glaciated volcanoes (18,997 feet, 19,348 feet, and 20,703 feet) in the Northern Andes. These mountains are a great step into high elevation mountaineering as they are each generally climbed in a day.

Steve and Sheila Dielman will share their experience on the Coast-to-Coast trail which spans 190 miles across northern England from the Irish Sea to the North Sea, traversing a wide variety of landscapes including surprisingly dramatic scenery in three National Parks, lush English countryside, charming villages, and ruins dating back to the roman empire.  There are sufficient food and lodging options along the way that it is possible to complete the route with just a daypack, sleeping under a roof every night, or it can be backpacked.

This free event will be held at Breckenridge Brewery in Fort Collins, which has a full kitchen for those who are interested in dinner. Social from 6:00-6:30 p.m. Program from 6:30-8:00 p.m.
