The PPG strives to provide educational and social opportunities for its members by inviting guest speakers to share their outdoor experiences on a variety of topics. These monthly programs involve a presentation and then a question and answer opportunity.

Ever wonder how Barr Trail, Barr Camp and the A-Frame became part of our local legacy?  Here’s your chance to learn a little bit about their history and hear some personal experiences from our longtime member and membership chair, Dean Waits.

Dean joined CMC in 2012, became a trip leader in 2014, and Pikes Peak Group membership chair in 2015. He is heavily involved in PPG, and you will often find him supporting the outdoors by leading hikes, performing trail maintenance with local organizations, and offering goodies like stickers and lip balm to those he meets in the outdoors.

Come join us for some enlightenment, photos and stories.

Doors open at 6:00pm, and the talk begins at 6:30. There will be time for Q&A at the end, and an opportunity to grab a pint nearby after the talk. Parking is free on site at Cottonwood.
