New Gore Range Trip Leaders
All you need to do is follow a few steps to become a GRG Trip Leader.
1. Obtain online self-paced training.
Review the CMC Leadership Manual.
Contact the CMC office to request enrollment in the Coassemble Course, and take the course online. Once the office confirms your enrollment, log in here.
2. Apply for a scholarship and register for a Wilderness First Aid Course. If there are no classes nearby, we can help you arrange a place to stay in Denver - just ask!
3. Work with the Trip Leader Support person to schedule and attend a Scenario session where you will review potential situations such as these.
4. Schedule and lead a Leader-In-Training (LIT) trip with a Mentor Leader. Prior to the trip, provide the Mentor Leader with the LIT evaluation form after filling out the boxes at the top of the form. The Mentor Leader will provide you with feedback on your leadership skills. Then watch for the CMC Trip Leader Badge to appear on your profile!
