1. Enroll in our self-paced online Trip Leader course.

In this course, you will learn about the duties and responsibilities of a CMC trip leader, review the CMC Leadership Manual, and get information about planning and conducting a trip!

2. Once you finish the course, you'll receive an email with information about how to register for a free Wilderness First Aid Course. If there are no classes nearby, we can help you arrange a place to stay in Denver - just ask!

3. Schedule and attend a Scenario session where you will review potential situations such as these.  (Contact Trip Leader Support person if you need help finding a Scenario Session)

4. Schedule and lead a Leader-In-Training (LIT) trip with a Mentor Leader.  Prior to the trip, provide the Mentor Leader with the LIT evaluation form after filling out the boxes at the top of the form.  The Mentor Leader will provide you with feedback on your leadership skills.

Then watch for the CMC Trip Leader Badge to appear on your profile!
