Doors open at 4:30pm, bring a snack to share and a non-alcoholic drink. Meet other CMC members and find out more about what the WSG is doing! Presentation starts at 5pm. We will need to vacate the library room no later than 6pm as that's when the library closes.

In 2016, Colombia was attempting to build a trekking and climbing industry from scratch. National Parks were little more than a line on the map, and new guides were trying to follow routes that were not quite set. Join Jill for a look at beautiful Bogota, sliding through mud in the dark to sleep in a concrete cow-shed, hiking in circles, falling in streams, interviewing for Colombian television news, a successful summit of the 17,304 ft. stratovolcano, haciendas, gorgeous llaneros, and a visit to the charming "Estes Park" of Colombia.

This event is free and open to the interested public and our CMC Western Slope Group members. Join us in the Montrose Library meeting room (enter the library and make an immediate left at the foyer statue).
