Trail Running Section

Looking for a local group to trail run with? Join the CMC Trail Running Section!

Trail Running is like a faster “lightweight” hiking trip with some important distinctions like magnitude of distance, potential for injuries, and keeping groups together. The Trail Running section is a new statewide section for beginner, intermediate and more advanced runners interested in coordinated group runs, training seminars, and a community of runners like yourself within CMC.

SEE WHAT'S COMING UP

Trip Types:

  • Short Before-After Work
  • Intermediate aka Weekend Runs
  • Adventure Runs
  • Peak Crushers - summer progression to scrambling and higher elevation peak running by application only.

To sign up for the section and stay up-to-date:
Visit CMC.org, log into your account by clicking ‘Member Login’, and select “Trail Running Section” on your member profile (under My Membership). You’ll automatically be added to the list for all announcements, trips, and events.

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS, CMC LEADERS:
If you have an interest in serving on the Section Steering Committee or an interest in serving as a Trail Running Trip Leader, please email madeline@cmc.org

Our initial trail runs will be near the Denver area (like Golden and/or Boulder) and as we recruit new trip leaders from around the state, we will expand to all four corners. Join us!

Want to get rad, go higher, lighter, and faster?  Check out our Peak Crushers program for their summer high altitude running series.
